Bought this blank to replace a handle on an old knife and the steel feels dense and ready to take an edge. The classic shape is exactly what I was after, and it came clean with no burrs to fuss over. Now I just need to finish the tang properly.

This is my second one of these high-carbon blanks and the classic shape feels just right in the hand before I even fit a handle. The steel is dense and takes a keen edge without much fuss, and the blade came clean with no rough spots along the spine.

The edge took an impressively sharp polish right out of the box, and the high carbon steel feels like it’ll hold up to serious work. I’ve only shaped the handle so far, but the blank’s profile is exactly the classic design I wanted for a custom build.
